Dr. Christina DalPorto | Optometrist/Vision Therapy

Dr. Christina DalPorto is thrilled to be joining the Carillon Vision Care team! She is a La Grange, Illinois native who began aspiring to become an optometrist in the 10th grade. Christina received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa and subsequently completed her Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She pursued residency training within the V.A. Palo Alto Health Care System, specializing in Primary Care and Brain Injury Vision Rehabilitation, and has additional clinical experience in fields of Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy from The Eye Institute in Philadelphia. While Dr. DalPorto is passionate about providing high quality eye care to patients of all ages, she especially enjoys working with the pediatric population and providing rehabilitation to patients with traumatic brain injuries. In her spare time, Dr. DalPorto loves to travel, bake, exercise, read, and spend time with family and friends.

Dr. Andrew J. Neukirch | Optometrist/Clinic Director

Dr. Neukirch received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 2008. Dr. Neukirch completed training in the areas of Specialty Contact Lens, Pediatric Optometry, Ocular Disease, Orthokeratology, and Myopia Control. Dr. Neukirch serves as the President of the North Chicago Society of the Illinois Optometric Association. He also serves as the Chicago Member Director for the Independent Doctors of Optometric Care (IDOC). He is an active member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). He has been published in a number of optometric journals and serves on the advisory board of a major contact lens company. In 2014, he was awarded the Vision Monday Optometric Business Innovator award.

Dr. Neukirch lives with his wife Susan, a General Surgery Resident, and their two dogs Lincoln and Bowser in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. He is a former professional musician and enjoys photography and playing drums and percussion with friends.

Dr. Vince Brandys | Optometrist

Dr. Vince Brandys is a well-respected optometric author, lecturer, and a past president of the Illinois Optometric Association. He is the Senior Director for Governmental and External Affairs for the Illinois Eye Institute. Dr. Brandys achieved his Doctorate in Optometry in 1990 from the Illinois College of Optometry after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from DePaul University. Dr. Brandys received the 2004 Illinois Optometric Association’s Optometrist of the Year. Dr. Brandys has been a consultant to multiple ophthalmic companies and serves as an expert witness in legal actions.

Dr. Brandys moved to Glenview in 2012 and resides with his family in Valley Lo. Outside of the office, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, Leeann, as well as their five adult kids, two dogs, and two cats. We were pleased to have him join Carillon Vision Care in early 2014.

Dr. Jerome Agrest | Optometrist Emeritus/Founder

Dr. Agrest started his practice in 1958 at the Glen Morton Medical Center in Morton Grove, IL and moved the business to Glenview in 1987. Under his guidance, Carillon Vision Care has seen more than 40 thousand unique patients. He has many 4th generation patients that are still under our care today!

Dr. Agrest received his doctorate of optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1948. He is a 50-year member of the American Optometric Association, and a Charter member of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens and Cornea Section. Dr. Agrest founded his practice on family vision care and contact lenses, including hard to fit RGP contact lenses.

Phyllis | Optician/Office Manager

Phyllis is our Office Manager, a Certified Optician, Fellow of the American Board of Opticianry, and a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago. More importantly, she has been with Carillon Vision Care over 25 years, and we are grateful to have her! Carillon’s patients unanimously agree that Phyllis has a knack for helping each patient find his or her perfect pair of specs. She also works hard to keep up with all the latest in optical technology by regularly attending continuing education and earning new certifications in her field. She looks forward to serving all of our patients for years to come.

Michelle C.

Michelle C. works within the front office as well, and she has been with Carillon for 2 years. Michelle is a hard worker, and we are glad to have her on our team!

Anna | Front Desk

Anna initially began working for Carillon 15 years ago as a college student! You can find her at the front desk on Saturdays only, because during the week, Anna is busy teaching music, choir, and band to Elementary students at a local charter school in Chicago.


Lucy is a friendly face behind the front desk of Carillon. Lucy has been a part of the Carillon team for over 18 years, and we are thrilled to have her.

Carillon Visioncare Glenview, IL, north shore, Bowser the dogBowser is an 12 year old Golden Retriever, who is also a Therapy Dog. Bowser retired a few years ago from his former profession of visiting nursing homes in Chicago when (Mrs.) Dr. Neukirch began her residency training. Bowser has been known to make a special appearance from time to time upon request.


Carillon Visioncare Glenview, IL, north shore, Lincoln the dogLincoln is a well-behaved 5 year old Labrador Retriever. He is a certified Therapy Dog, who takes his employment and mascot duties very seriously at Carillon! In between frequent naps and lunchtime, Lincoln enjoys greeting patients in the Optical!
