Carillon's Mission

Carillon Vision Care, one of the largest and oldest private optometric practices on the North Shore, is dedicated to providing the highest quality eye care using the latest technology and materials available. We continually strive to provide professional and personalized service to our patients.

The specialized optometrists on staff at Carillon has seen many changes over the years to the practice, to the surrounding community, and to the optical industry at large.

Dr. Jerome Agrest

Dr. Jerome Agrest, O.D., has been in private practice for more than 45 years. He started his practice in 1958 at the Glen Morton Medical Center in Morton Grove, IL and moved the business to Glenview in 1987.

Dr. Agrest received his doctorate of optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1948. He is a 50-year member of the American Optometric Association, and a Charter member of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens and Cornea Section. Dr. Agrest specializes in family vision care and contact lenses.

Dr. Michael Zost

Dr. Michael Zost, O.D., is an Associate Professor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where he also received his doctorate of optometry. Dr. Zost completed his residency in Rehabilitative Optometry with emphasis on primary care, vision therapy, contact lenses and low vision.

He is a vision consultant to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, and a clinical examiner for the National Board of Optometry.

Dr. Zost's specialties include contact lenses, vision therapy and rehabilitative optometry. He teaches courses, is a speaker and lecturer, and his investigative work has appeared in major optometric journals.

Golf lenses offer a unique balance of target and background brightness. Rudy Projects also offers the new ImpactX photochromic golf lens. This lens is tailored to accommodate from grass reflecting only a low amount of incident light. The lens controls lowlevel blue light to provide optimum visual stimulation and distinctive object illumination.
