Carillon is one of the largest and oldest private optometric practices on the North Shore. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality eye care using the latest technology and materials available. We continually stride to provide professional and personalized service to our patients.

Dr. Andrew J. Neukirch

Optometrist/CEO

Dr. Neukirch received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 2008. Dr. Neukirch completed training in the areas of Contact Lens, Pediatric Optometry, Ocular Disease, Low Vision Rehabilitation, and practices the developing field of Medical Optometry. This includes diagnosis and treatment of Dry Eye, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Strabismus (or Lazy Eye); to name a few common conditions. He is an active member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). Dr. Neukirch is especially passionate about working with children, and performs comprehensive vision and eye health exams on children at 6 months of age through the Public Health program InfantSEE.

Patient care and comprehension are of the utmost importance to Dr. Neukirch, so be sure to ask him all of your vision care questions. He also makes himself available online for all of your vision and ocular health questions through our Facebook page.

Dr. Jerome Agrest

Optometrist/Founder

Dr. Agrest has been in private practice for more than 45 years. He started his practice in 1958 at the Glen Morton Medical Center in Morton Grove, IL and moved the business to Glenview in 1987.

Dr. Agrest received his doctorate of optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1948. He is a 50-year member of the American Optometric Association, and a Charter member of the American Optometric Association Contact Lens and Cornea Section. Dr. Agrest focuses his practice on family vision care and contact lenses, including hard to fit RGP contact lenses.

Phyllis Milewski, F.N.A.O.

Lead Optician/Office Manager

Phyllis has been with Carillon Vision Care for 28 years. She started with Dr. Agrest part-time while attending high school in Morton Grove, continued throughout her undergraduate studies, earning her Bachelor's degree from University Illinois Chicago. She became a Fellow of the American Board of Opticianry in 1990 and continues to stay current by taking continuing education courses every year.

Phyllis is knowledgeable with all the latest lens technology and keeps our optical up to date with current designer frame styles. She enjoys working with our patients and her customers to achieve the best aesthetic and functional fit. Phyllis is dedicated to our practice and our mission, and looks forward to serving our community for years to come.
