Prescriptions

Spectacle and contact lens prescriptions are valid for one year from the date of examination.  Contact lens prescriptions can only be issue once the fitting process and prescription are finalized.  Since contact lenses are medical devices (regulated by the Food and Drug Administration of the United States Government), we greatly respect the potential for poorly fit contacts to cause permanent vision loss.  Therefore, contact lens prescriptions are released only to another eye care professional that can ensure the quality of care you deserve.  Copies of your prescription or records may be released to another physician only with a written authorization from you.

WHAT IS SPORTS EYEWEAR?

Different sports require unique eyewear designs. Whether you play tennis, golf, swim, boat, ski orhunt, we have many exciting options for eyewear to enhance your vision while protecting your most precious of senses. If you are a weekend hobbyist or do repairs around home, protection is also critical.

CAN MY VISION BE IMPROVED IF I HAVE AN EYE DISEASE?

For our patients that have lost vision due to cataracts or retinal disease such as macular degeneration, we offer a selection of various designs of optically ground magnifiers and spectacles which can benefit reading. Electronic or video readers that can be attached to the home TV are also available. Some patients require devices such as telescopes for driving or viewing the TV. In addition, an array of lens filters may offer comfort for patients from the increased glare and distortion that comes with their conditions.
