Optical Services

We promise to take more than an hour to make your spectacles.  Our laboratories custom manufacture lenses for each prescription yielding the thinnest and lightest lenses possible.  Emergency service with a one-day turn around is available.

Frames

We pride ourselves in maintaining an extensive selection of the latest American, European, and “designer” frames.  We have found over the years that the highest quality materials serve our patient the best.  That’s why all frames we stock come with a manufacturers’ one-year conditional warrantee.  You can choose from colorful plastics, lightweight metals, the rimless look, or wonderfully unique designs.  Our staff of optical technicians and doctors are all trained and ready to assist you in selecting the frame that bests meets your needs, matches your face shape and coloring, while satisfying your taste in style.

Lenses

We pride ourselves on our ability to customize your prescription with the latest in optical lens design to optimize your vision to meet your needs at work and play.  You can choose from thinner lighter plastics, Photochromic lenses that darken outdoors (Transitions), standard bifocals or trifocals, and progressive multi-focal “no-line” lenses.  We offer special lens design options for computer users, office workers, and students.  We are also an authorized provider of Varillux, Zeiss, and Hoya products, which offer the latest in technologically superior lens products on the market.

Specialty Lens Tints

Tints and coatings can add so much to the enjoyment of your new eyewear.  Coatings that minimize those small scratches on your lenses have never been better.  In addition, you can choose from a multi-layer anti-reflective coating to minimize glare, ultraviolet blockers to protect your eye health, Polaroid sun lenses to offer the ultimate in comfort and vision while outdoors, or tints in any shade or darkness to compliment your new frame.  Other treatments to ask us about might include edge polishing or tinting to add a touch of elegance to your lenses or make them less noticeable.

Sports and Safety Eyewear

Different sports require unique eyewear designs.  Whether you play tennis, golf, swim, boat, ski, or hunt, we have many exciting options for eyewear to enhance your vision while protecting your most precious of senses.  If you are the weekend hobbyist or do repairs around home, protection is critical to preserving sight.  The proper eyewear that is approved and designed for what you enjoy doing can enhance what you see and offer a greater peace of mind knowing you are using the best protection.

Contact Lenses

The number of contact lens designs, materials, and schedule for frequency of wear and disposal and increased dramatically over the last 5-10 years.  We offer our patients custom designed gas—permeable lenses in single vision and multifocal modalities.  We offer soft disposable lenses for patients with nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia.  You can choose from brands that are disposed of daily, every 1-2 weeks, 1-month or 3 months.  If you want to change your eye color, we have it.  If you need to sleep in you lenses due to work or convenience, we have them.  If you have dry eyes, contact lenses are available that you might be able to use.

Along with wearing contacts comes the caring for them.  That’s where we offer the best and latest in solutions and lens care products to keep your lenses clean and your eyes healthy.  All contact lens and solutions can be conveniently purchased through our office at very competitive prices.  If you ever rip or lose a lens, we offer a loaner system to keep you in your contact lenses until a replacement comes in.

 

Low Vision Devices

For our patients that have lost vision due to cataracts or retinal disease such as macular degeneration, we offer a selection of various designs of optically ground magnifiers and spectacles, which may benefit reading.  Electronic or video readers that can be attached to the home TV are available.  Some patients require devices such as telescopes for driving or viewing the TV.  In addition, an array of lens filters may offer comfort for these patients from the increased glare and distortion that comes with their conditions.

Golfers can choose a model to eliminate fogging, create a maximum field of vision, or interchangeability to manage changing light conditions. Golf lenses offer a unique balance of target and background brightness. Rudy Projects also offers the new ImpactX photochromic golf lens. This lens is tailored to accommodate from grass reflecting only a low amount of incident light. The lens controls lowlevel blue light to provide optimum visual stimulation and distinctive object illumination. Translation: you are better able to track the golf ball in a multitude of lighting conditions.
